Spring has finally come after a long winter and I was very excited to visit a very well known park in Slovenia, Arboretum Volcji Potok. In the last twenty years it became famous for its spring flower shows. Visitors from all parts of the country and from abroad come to Arboretum to be fascinated by millions of daffodils, tulips and other spring flowers.
I visited the park at sunset which is my favourite part of the day to take landscape and macro photographs. So without further ado let me show you some of the best photographs made on that lovely day.
This was taken just a few meters from the entrance. Some details on the photograph really make it special for me (like reflection in the small current).
This little pond really made my day. The idea to put wooden benches in the water is brilliant. Because of the reflection it seems the bench is floating on the water surface.
Entrance to the inner park. Certain types of trees were already full of blossoms (like Cherry and Magnolia).
Park is the perfect place for families and kids. I like how the blossoms are beginning to fall and creating a thin blanket on the grass.

There is also a special exhibition of dinosaurus in the park and it looks quite spectacular. They will stay in the park until the and of August (2015).
Sunset was already near and I really wanted to make some shoots of the sun shining over the beautiful tulips.
The second macro photograph came out really nicely with the sparkling sunrays directly above the tulip.
A special place in the park is the rock formation with several types of flowers.
Boxwood cut so it looks like a medieval wall and a tower inside. Sun was just about to go below the bushes and it created a beautiful glow of sunrays.
